Terri, Covered (B&W): Calgary, AB, Canada (2008) - Fine art black and white nude photograph of a woman with her arms crossed over her breasts

I like the light and shadow in this photograph, and the way my eye carefully wanders through it, then back again. It's revealing, but defensive, how many of us feel at first when we're taken away from our comfortable lives.

This photograph is just like I had imagined it. Like most of my work, it took much time and many rolls of film, but the resulting photograph is exactly what I was after: smooth, complex, complete, like some exotic food with ingredients I can't recognize.
